The Plug Robonoids are reconnaissance drones deployed from the Gem Homeworld to accomplish special missions, such as surveying foreign planets without the aid of a Warp Pad or transportation of a space vessel. Plug Robonoids first appeared in "Marble Madness", as larger versions of the Flask Robonoids. Plug Robonoids were sent to Earth to the Prime Kindergarten in order to monitor the Cluster under Peridot's supervision.
The Plug Robonoids are a noticeably larger variant of the Flask Robonoid. It has seven conical legs and appears to be somewhat transparent, but with an aquamarine/cyan-like color. It can change its shape when the circumstances require it to and is filled with a gooey substance, possibly the same as in the Flask Robonoids.
The Plug Robonoids can shape-shift into a pyramid form, which then acts as a lift. In this form, it can produce Hand Robonoids. It is additionally endowed with the potential to interface with certain Gem technology, such as the Kindergarten's computers and Warp Pads. It is also capable of limited flight, using its legs as a sort of rotor. It has no shown self-defense abilities and extremely limited situation awareness.
- Plug Robonoids are able to withstand atmospheric entry and have landed in water and on different types of land.
- The programming of Plug Robonoid seems to be straightforward and inflexible, leading to very limited situation awareness; the machine just moved toward its destination at the shortest paths possible, and completely ignored the Crystal Gems, even when they attacked it or mounted it.
